FREE LUNCH FOR KIDS ALL SUMMER Really! at the Bayfield Rec Center Lunch Monday-Friday 11:30-12:00 Snack Monday-Friday 3:00-3:30 pm June 16-August 29 (except July 4) The Rec Center is a new site to receive free lunch and snack through the Red Cliff Summer Food program. All lunches will meet USDA guidelines and include milk. Eat lunch then swim in the pool at noon! **Every Friday night at the Rec Center is** Family Night 5-8 pm Bring the whole family down for an evening of swimming, play, and fun. Enjoy a healthy and affordable night out on the town!! A great alternative to the Friday night video! Come on down! Splashing, playing, and fun all included. Members: free Non-members: $9/family
**Red Cross Swimming Lessons** taught by Red Cross certified instructor Laura Bohn Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, July 21-24, 28-31(8 days) Level 1: 4:00-4:30 pm Students explore and learn elementary aquatic skills. Must be able to touch bottom of pool on shallow end (3'4") Level 2: 4:45-5:30 pm Students will successfully use primary skills and start developing aquatic locomotion. Level 3: 5:30-6:30 pm Students develop stroke readiness including elementary backstroke, treading water, and diving. Level 4: 6:45-7:45 pm Students will build confidence and improve learned strokes including breaststroke, sidestroke, and basic turns. Level 5+: Call to schedule a private lesson. Members: $38 Non-members: $48, minimum of 4 per class

**Aqua Fit** Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 9-10 am with the Swimmin' Women (men invited too!!) Mondays, Wednesdays 5-6 pm Aerobics in the pool. Get a great total body workout without getting your hair wet!! A very popular class. Drop in and see how much fun it is.
Lifeguard Training Class Want to work as a lifeguard? This class offer a 3 year Red Cross certification and includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Guards earn $8.63/hour at the Rec Center! June 14 9-4, June 15 11-6 June 21 9-4, June 22 11-6 $25 for future Rec Center employees, $150 others **Walleyball** 6:30 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays What's walleyball? It's volleyball in the racquetball court. Fun, crazy, casual and great exercise. Come and try a game with the gang. Beginners welcome! Members free, $2 to drop in.
**Smart Moves for Life** Tuesdays at 6:00 PM, call for an appointment SEE A PHYSICAL THERAPIST FOR FREE??? Jan Sternat, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, is available for consultations about creating a personal exercise program from a variety of methods such as pool therapy, functional exercises, gym equipment, and the Awareness Thru Movement Lessons series. Learn how to move with greater ease and coordination. The establishment of an individualized program can be preliminary to a strengthening and fitness program. It can be developed as further recovery from illness, surgery or pain conditions, or it can be useful as a final phase of targeting skill development. Come and see Jan to create a starting point for a new and better life of health and wellness. Members free, Non-members 1st time free, then $10. **Discover Scuba** with Terry Bauer from Superior Adventures May 30, June 18, July 18, August 1 5:30-7:30 pm. Give it a try!! Introduction to the world of Scuba diving. Participants will learn safety, diving techniques and hands-on experience in the pool. All equipment provided. $15/session, minimum of 2 people.
**Yoga** with certified instructor Beth Lowthian Thursdays 5:30-7:00 at the Bayfield School cafeteria Twelve week session: June 12-August 28 $55members, $68 non-members. Drop-ins welcome $9 per class A vinyasa approach to yoga. Flowing yoga sequences allow students to explore and experience asanas in a supportive environment. Focus will be on learning pose alignment, increasing strength, endurance, and flexibility.
**Island Basketball** at the LaPointe School gym Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 6-8 pm during school days (before June 9, after Sept. 5) Pick up basketball for adults on Madeline Island. Drop ins always welcome! FREE!
**Tumblin Tots Playtime** Weds. 11:30-12:30 PM FREE! Have fun with your preschooler during this group play time. Rolling on mats, jumping and playing with balls. Parents bring your kids down after story time at the Bayfiled Carnegie Library, let the kids run around and then eat lunch in the lounge.
**MASTERS STROKES Clinic** Sat. July 12 8AM Learn to swim out in great Lake Superior! Shannon Swanstrom will do a clinic geared to improve your swimming technique in open lake. Learn to steer, surf the waves and go places. Get yourself ready for the Point to LaPointe Swim to Madeline Island (see below). Get hooked and join the Apostle Island Swimmers, who are swimming to every one of the Apostle Islands. Wetsuit recommended for this clinic. Cost $8 Minimum of 3. Sign up ahead.Group Cycling weekdays starting around 5 pm from the Bayfield Bicycle Route shop (next to Maggie’s). All ages and levels are welcome - teens to seniors. Build your strength and stamina to be able to ride these Bayfield hills. Discover some great new routes. Departures (usually) daily. Roll by the shop or call Tom at 209-6864 Wisconsin Boater Safety Class and Bayfield Boat Club August 4-7 and 11-14 12-4 pm This WI certified safety course will cover all basic safety instruction and issue you a certificate to operate boats in WI. Navigation, regulations, equipment, emergencies, trailering, and first aid are just some of the topics covered. Children between 12 and 15 must have this certificate to legally operate a boat on their own. Adults - take this course to learn the laws and lower your insurance rates.
