**Personal Training**
with John Hebert
Starting in the end of February, John will be offering his certified personal training skills to your workout. Whether you want a consultation on how to get started on a program, or expert advice on how to improve your routine, John can push you to obtain your goals.

**Balancing with Ease Part 2**

Saturday, Jan. 3,10,17,24 at 10-11 am                

Tuesday, Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27, 9-10 am
This is part 2 of the Balancing with Ease class with Feldenkrais® practitioners Janet Sternat and Patty Carver. Themes explored in these lessons include organizing and controlling pelvic movements, improving ankle, knee and hip flexibility, and improving the ability to transfer weight resulting in better balance. All lessons are taught in either a sitting or standing position. You should have already taken Part 1 of this series, or taken other Feldenkrais classes with Patty to sign up for this class! Cost $25
**Ballroom Dancing**

at the Bayfield Pavilion

**Power Aerobics**
with Jack Stringe

Jan. 14- Mar. 5
Mondays, Thursdays 5:30-6:30 pm in the Bayfield School cafeteria
Build some muscle and tone up while you get a great workout.  Jack will use classic aerobics moves with some resistance training to get both strength building and cardiovascular benefits to create a very satistying workout.  This class will firm up your body, burn fat, and improve your fitness.

**Gentle Aerobics**

Calling all couch potatoes!  This beginning/intermediate level workout program puts easy, fun moves and rhythms to a mix of popular music in a gentle cardio workout.

**Indoor Walking**

Tues and Thurs 3-4 pm  Jan. 13 to March 12
at the Bayfield Pavilion
Are you a walker but don’t like the cold weather and snow?  Come walk inside to music inside the Bayfield Pavilion.  This program will accommodate all speeds.

**Every Friday night at the Rec Center is**
Family Night  5-8 pm
Bring the whole family down for an evening of swimming, play, and fun.  Enjoy a healthy and affordable night out on the town!!  A great alternative to the Friday night video!  Come on down!  Splashing, playing, and fun all included.

**Red Cross Swimming Lessons**
taught by Red Cross certified instructor Sara Hudson
Mondays through Thursdays, March 30 to April 9 (8 days)
Level 1:  4:00-4:30 pm  Students explore and learn elementary aquatic skills.  Must be able to touch bottom of pool on shallow end (3’4″)
Level 2:  4:45-5:30 pm   Students will successfully use primary skills and start developing aquatic locomotion.
Level 3:   5:30-6:30 pm  Students develop stroke readiness
including elementary backstroke, treading water, and diving.
Level 4:  6:45-7:45 pm Students will build confidence and improve learned strokes including breaststroke, sidestroke, and basic turns.
Level 5+:  Call to schedule a private lesson.
Members: $48   Non-members: $57, minimum of 4 per class

**Private Swim Lessons**
by appointment
For swimmers who have passed Level 4 or those who want more instructor attention.  Combine with a friend for an ideal teaching environment.  $20/half hour.  Call 779-5408 to set up a session with Sara Hudson.

**Pre-school Swimming Lessons**

Water Babies/Little Fish:  5:00  Children 6 mos.-3 yrs. old who have little or no water experience.

**Youth Swim Team**
A GREAT TEAM!
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays October 20-February 12
5:30-6:15 pm-novices
6:00-7:30 pm-older and experienced swimmers
Competitive swim team for area youth, ages 6-18, with high level coaching and weekend racing.  The Bayfield Swim Team is a top area club, sending 8 swimmers to the regoinal championships last year.  Swim to compete or just swim for fun.  If your child can swim a lap, he/she is ready to try swim team!
Members: $95 for one child, $155 for two
Non-members: $120 for one child, $180 for two

**Aqua Fit**
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays  9-10 am
with the Swimmin’ Women (men invited too!!)
Tuesdays, Thursdays 4:15-5:15 pm with Missy Eid Mondays, Wednesdays 5-6 pm with Pauline Grooms
Aerobics in the pool.  Get a great total body workout without getting your hair wet!!  A very popular class–great for beginners and fitness pros alike.  Drop in and see how much fun it is.

**Walleyball**
6:30 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on Jan. 6
What’s walleyball?  It’s volleyball in the racquetball court.  Fun, crazy, casual and great exercise.  Come and try a game with the gang.  Beginners welcome! 
Members free, $2 to drop in.

Jan Sternat, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, is available for consultations about creating a personal exercise program from a variety of methods such as pool therapy, functional exercises, gym equipment, and the Awareness Thru Movement Lessons series.  Learn how to move with greater ease and coordination.  The establishment of an individualized program can be preliminary to a strengthening and fitness program.  It can be developed as further recovery from illness, surgery or pain conditions, or it can be useful as a final phase of targeting skill development.  Come and see Jan to create a starting point for a new and better life of health and wellness.

**Discover Scuba**

Get under the water and see what scuba is really like!!  This introduction to the world of Scuba diving will teach you safety, diving techniques and hands-on experience in the pool.  All equipment provided.
$16/day session, minimum of 2 people.

**Yoga**

A vinyasa approach to yoga.  Flowing yoga sequences allow students to explore and experience asanas in a supportive environment.  Focus will be on learning pose alignment, increasing strength, endurance, and flexibility.

**Swim Stroke Clinics**

Want to swim better?  Shannon Swanstrom will do monthly stroke clinics and small group sessions that will improve your technique.  A little coaching can go a long way to help your swimming.

**Weight Lifting for Beginners**

Wednesdays Jan. 14,21,28 and Feb. 4  5-6 pm
Ever wanted to lift weights but didn’t know where to start?  John will run 4 sessions in basic strength training using free weights, resistance equipment, and simply your own body weight.  Weight lifting not only tones your muscles, but also improves bone density, balance, posture, and metabolism.  Anyone can do this, really, you just have to start!

**The Thirty Minute Burn**

Are you looking to step up the intensity of your work out? This advanced cardio and strength building workout will do just that. John will use a military based approach that will utilize your own body weight to improve your overall fitness level.
